Zeke is a champ.
He sets the course. I follow him. He brings me on the best unsanctioned trails. He’s a werdo like me.
More than that, Zeke understands how to ‘get through’ something.
It’s simple. You tell yourself that you’re going to do this ride and then don’t give yourself any options or ways to back out of it.
I love this - for limited periods of time.
We set out on some rough rides, off cell grid, over some really questionable terrain.
Massive puddles and standing water is the worst. Combined with sand it seems to conspire with the bicycle shops and parts supply companies to help enhance their cash flow situations.
That is to say, that kinda shit really grinds my gears. I means really grinds my gears.
My mood?
Heh.
When I approach something that is by its very nature going to grind my gears, my mood is generally good.
It’s easy to embrace the absurdity of pain when you’ve expected something much worse.
