Have your relationships changed over time? What about your main squeeze? Do you have one? how has it changed? When we begin with our loves, things are a torrent of passion, plans and dreams. Eventually, like silt in a lake, we settle in with each other.

We get comfortable.

Communication becomes streamlined, efficient and assumed.

For example, I always can tell when my wife’s van needs a windshield washer fluid top up. How? I’m guessing that it’s something she tells me. Talking about windshield washer fluid would only waste time.

Instead? She buys a bunch of it, on sale, and leaves it in the back of the van.

It’s then up to me to notice the windshield washer fluid and distribute it to the the proper places.

Most days, she’s not someone who refills windshield washer fluid.

Most days.

My wife can always tell when I’m overwhelmed with hunger and need to eat. It’s clear from the frown on my face, the furrow in my brow and the droning profanity laced rants completely unrelated to food that erup…
