There were two cans of pop, one was cola, the other, ginger ale.

Neither of us cared which one accompanied lunch.

You choose.

No you choose.

Neither of us cared.

Neither of us chose.

Instead of asserting any preference we gave up.

Neither of us wanted to take the responsibility for making a choice.

Instead, we mixed the cola and ginger ale together.

We both ended up with swamp water.

It was terrible.

Some decisions are unimportant. We frequently encounter situations where a decision, any decision is necessary.

Each of us has the opportunity to take responsibility and merely choose even when we don’t care about the results.

I’m doing so, we just might save everyone from the dissatisfaction of drinking swamp water.
