I drive long distances to be alone.

When I surf, I do not like being watched.

There are others who, if you don’t make your waves, or surf poorly, who will paddle around you and take all of the best waves. They at times, when in packs, can make it such that I don’t get any waves at all.

This ruthless reality is daunting.

When no one is around and no one is watching, typically I surf better.

But, when it comes to performing performing, the bigger the crowd the better.

So, performance anxiety is a thing for me too.

And it only comes up at certain times.

How does being seen doing something affect your performance?

When does it elevate you

When does it cause you to freeze?
