When I drove a hatchback, it was perpetually messy.

When the van was my vehicle, it was worse.

Now that I own a truck, life has become easier and more organized. Owning a truck has made life more simple.

Life’s more simple because my truck is simple. Two doors, one seat - that’s it.

This could be a bumper sticker - TWO DOORS ONE SEAT NOW YOU’LL FIND THAT LIFE’S COMPLETE (they should get me to write protest chants…)

No bluetooth.

No taking calls.

No cassettes.

No CD’s

Two big wide doors and one five and a half foot long bench seat with not a lot of room behind it in the cab.

The box can handle the clean up from a job site.

If I leave anything in it, I may as well just give it away.

With so few options for storage and so little room, this truck makes life more efficient.

Sure, airbags, more plastic and some sensors and computers might make it more contemporary, more up to date, but these days?

I always know where my work gloves are - they’re under the truck and waiting for me to get moving.
