Love and desire are different things.
Love is something known, familiar and somehow comforting.
Desire is fueled by a curiosity of novelty, discovery and change.
Think of love as nutrient rich soil, watered just perfectly.
Desire? That’s the sun we’re reaching for.
Love despite being nurturing is also painful.
It makes people do crazy things.

I love riding my bike. I want (desire) to go really fast, down hills over uneven and bumpy terrain pulling my wheels off the ground at every opportunity.
I love being in the woods.
I love spending time with my buddies Jed and Zeke - who I also love.
These are familiar, comfortable places. In the woods, I wouldn’t even need a bike if it weren’t for desire.

My desire is relentless.
