the vocal tortie
she'll let you know she's here
She’s a princess.
She really is.
When she wants something, she screams.
When she isn’t heard, she keeps going.
She likes what she likes. She wants what she wants.
She doesn’t apologize for any of it.
Suki, our little tortie nightmare rules our house.
When there are freshly folded towels?
Those become her throne.
If you bring another, more freshly folded towel out of the dryer, not only will she change thrones, meowing and making weird cat sounds as she rolls.
She makes weird cat sounds.
With every action, she makes a sound that’s a cross between a meow and a purr.
It’s like she’s announcing every dashing action, whether it’s leaping onto the counter or darting across the dining room table.
Now Meow I’m doing this she calls making her intentions clear.
Look at me! Look at me! Look at me-now, she meows!
When she does this?
It’s not annoying, in fact, her love of attention is endearing.
If she were people though?
She might become annoying quite quickly.
Or she’d be famous.
