The trouble with cockroaches
If you've ever lived with cockroaches, we will know full well how difficult it is to get rid of them.
One friend, while living in LA, used to take water glasses and put them on top of cockroaches in her apartment.
She’d leave them for a few days then come back. The cockroaches would still be alive. Eventually they bake. Eventually they die.
What you never want to do is step on a cockroach. When you step on a cockroach, you'll likely kill it or at least hurt it.
And you have a very high chance of getting cockroach eggs all over your shoes. The next thing you know, you’ll end up with cockroaches everywhere.
Most people know this.
And sometimes, we panic. Sometimes we overreact to a single cockroach and step on it immediately.
Even though our houses might be bug free, we are all living with cockroaches in our lives. They’re lurking somewhere. Whether in our hearts, minds or places of employment the cockroaches will be there long after we are gone.
When we're a bit too aggressive and we act too quickly. When we step on them they just come back tenfold worse.
It’s like the old saying goes:
An orange has more too it than a peel.
