Some folks really don’t like dogs.

Others are much more suspicious of their owners.

Some think, that behind every dog owner, lurks a manical, twisted turd distribution system. Some seem to believe all that a dog does is bark, thereby disturbing the peace and leave behind land mines for hiking shoes - or any boots with deep, difficult to clean treds.

Others bark about the impact of dog feces on the local lakes.

As a dog owner, intolerant of criticism and imagining it coming every other second of the day, I tend to have a half dozen poop bags with me no matter where I am.

I care about the lakes. I care about the nerdy boys stepping in dog poop. (but if I really had my druthers, I’d leave giant gobps of dog turds in the parking lots of every school so every teacher would have to meet every boy that is a clone of me that would forever refer to them as ‘old stinky foot.’

That would be a great story eh?

Sadly, I practice restraint.

Sadly, I’m too dedicated to. the doodie duty.
