We’re everywhere.
Within each of us is the ability to be an ordinary fool, a remarkable fool and a dangerous fool.
I’ve not spent much time talking about dangerous fools.
The dangerous fools?
Those are the ones who believe that the story in their head isn’t just a story they tell themselves. A dangerous fool believes that the story in their head about how the world works and what should happen isn’t just a story.
They believe that the story in their head is THE TRUTH.
A dangerous fool believes that this truth is beyond reproach and can not be questioned.
A dangerous fool willfully creates blind spots for themselves with fanaticism and arrogance.
A dangerous fool believes that the ends justify the means.
You can be a dangerous fool sometimes.
It’s part of your shadow.
We all have one.
Well.
In Orwell’s 1984 Winston Smith ended up in a room without shadows.
That room was created by dangerous fools.
