We struggle in our house.
We are plagued by waste, corruption and rot. All of this is due to bloated expectations and is driven along by a reaction to a scarcity mindset. Though overwhelming, it may be a good problem to have. We struggle just the same. This difficulty is faced by many these days. You too, dear reader, likely have to deal with this scourge.
I’m talking about food cost overruns due to overproduction and under consumption of what is prepared on any given night.
This is to say, we have issues with leftovers. Our refrigerator bursts with them. Sure, there are times of the year when leftovers are more likely. This is especially true after cooking a turkey. Even though a fully grown turkey is too much, a poult, wouldn’t be enough. But the scourge of leftovers is a year round problem.
Tales of undocumented refrigerator contents have been well documented over the years. There’s no need for me to belabor stories of science experiments or ancient, fossilized pieces of beef. And yet…
