Do the undoable! Miracles are only a motion away! The hype surrounding AI tools is loud. I like them. They will fundamentally change society. Each time that a new feature emerges the online reviews remind me of a real estate agent demonstrating that real running water comes from the tap!

It’s a bit discouraging. As a writer, many of the ads that I see that suggest that anyone can write a book in twenty minutes using AI tools. I’ve tried. The ‘book’ was twenty pages long and was ungood. It was ‘fine’. But it was anything but good.

Any book written in 20 minutes using an AI tool is likely shite.¹

We’ll likely begin to admire ‘prompt engineers’ in the future - those who can subtly distil, touch and caress a prompt to life. They say that book writing is going to go from being like painting to becoming more like photography. Sure, there’s still magic to be found. And in the hands of ‘everyone’ it will be everywhere.
