I see people every day who tell me with their voices I need to change ____ because of ____.

When I listen to the pleading of their eyes I hear this: Am I really that bad?

They make valid points: I don’t fit in. It hurts. I need to find a way to fit in with what’s being asked of me.

That is garden variety, everyday, foolishness.

We live in a world unlike many of the billions that have come before us. There are more rules, more customs, more ‘specifications’ for human behaviour than every before. The people who like rules continue to be creative. Their output is not diminishing. In reality? The amount of bullshit rules created to justify bullshit jobs gets thicker every day. Even people who profess to be ‘fluid’ get hung up about how they are classified and labeled.

They younger you are, the more that will be measured, chunked and analyzed by our algorhymithic overlords. It seems everywhere you go there’s someone waiting with a tape measure, stopwatch or some other qualitative standard to …
