I just sold my son's hockey gear I've done away with it all a whole lot in one shot to doughy jelly man and his enthusiastic son.
I could tell from his disposition that this dad would be fine with hockey. He seemed calm, cool, collected and moderately together. In our brief interaction, I got the impression that things don't really get to him. People like this actually exist? People who are mild mannered, calm and considerate! Whodathunkit.
I looked at him and smiled. What the hell is it like to be that way? What’s the story in his head like? He seemed all looking like his age and fatherly and such. I love being a father. I get jealous of men who know how to go with the flow, the kind of dudes who don’t speed, don’t flip out in traffic. I’m jealous of the kind of man who can go watch his child play hockey without risking a stroke or massive heart attack
