It was odd seeing his image that way - all dressed in black. Normally I saw him in a much lighter suit. The second slide on his instagram post said this:

Please accept my apology for not going public with what I’ve been facing for the last six years. I have always felt a huge amount of love and respect from my friends, fans and supporters. I have loved you all so much and have enjoyed making art for you.

His final credit was a great one. He may not have created that particular show. He certainly belonged there. It’s almost perfect that such a wacky, sensitive, outrageous show, one filled with such tenderness, ridiculousness, humanity and love is the last place he worked.

He voiced ‘Pat’ on Bob’s Burgers just this year. And yesterday?

The world lost a legend.

And hero.

And one of the most inspirational media figures in my lifetime.
