Jerry Seinfeld on the Tim Ferriss show stated that the enemy of a comedian is comfort. He suggested that his super power was the fact that he’s incredibly thin skinned and things really irritate him. He never will allow himself to get too comfortable. This, Jerry claims, gives him his edge. This is where the funny comes from.

Pathways to creativity and innovation are no different than writing jokes. Problems, irritations, sand in the Vaseline all call for artists and entrepreneurs to address them. The more sensitive you are, the more easy it is to detect where there’s friction.

Yep friction. Sand in the Vaseline remember?

Sensitive people have a burden and a superpower.
