How often do you scan and scour maps?

How often do you look at the earth from space?

What’s your knowledge of the historic roads, routes and traditional walking paths near you?

Mine is crap.

That’s a small part of what makes Zeke amazing.

Zeke plans the routes out as best he can.

Today, the only part I don’t know about is the beginning section. I’ve never ridden it. The end part just keeps getting better until a bit of road riding. Which is smooth at least.

Zeke wasn’t kidding. We left the grocery store parking lot, crossed the highway then dove into the woods. We weren’t fifty yards up the trail before our mountain bike adventure became a nice walk in the woods with bikes.

The hill was more of a riverbed, moderately dry but filled with boulders.

The ATV’s strip the place pretty bare.

On we went through the wet wet wet woods.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

The new lift access bike park had been slated to open. The opening was cancelled dude to rain. The trails would have been a joyful wallo…
