Driving a 2003 Echo hatchback has its perks.

Besides having an intimate connection with the road by feeling every bump, small, underpowered cars have more opportunities than most cars. First, because they cost little and have less to lose, they can be more powerful than even an s class Mercedes.

Small cars, in crowded roads can find ways to pass, to thread the needle between stopped cars and the very edge of drivable space. And parking? We can get into places that large trucks, vans and SUV’s struggle.

When you create - whether you’re making change or making art, you’re a lot like a very small cheap car on the road.

No one cares that you’re there. No on would really miss you if you were gone.

You can fit through places that regular people can’t.

You can find places to park, to position yourself that others would struggle to inhabit.

Best of all?

When confronting a bit, fancy, expensive, powerful idea?

You have nothing to lose.

Get going.
