That post would have to be called problematic rock stars.
This is about things that won’t move no matter how hard you try to convince them. Wedged amongst other stones, and packed in with clay, I spent yesterday with Butch digging out problematic rocks.
One such rock, Butch smacked at for several minutes. He smacked around it. He got in front of it even dugout behind it. Still, the rock wouldn’t move.
Gimmie the pick.
With a couple of quick sharp swings, the rock came dislodged.
What was different?
I stood directly opposite Butch.
I hit the rock from a completely different angle.
A pick axe is a lever.
By changing the approach, changing the angle of attack, we managed to get underneath it, and had better leverage.
