There were signs along the way. I wasn’t really paying attention. If I had acted sooner, things likely would have been easier. And now, I’m dealing with the consequences. This post emerged during an ‘oh shit’ moment.

I’m certain you know what an ‘oh shit’ moment is. Even if you haven’t named them thusly, you’ve likely experienced one.

‘Oh shit’ moments happen when you suddenly realize that you missed something essential. ‘Oh shit’ moments happen when you know you should have known better, but didn’t. ‘Oh shit’ moments happen when, with this discovery, you know that you need to take action to solve a problem. ‘Oh shit’, moments are routinely gross, dirty, difficult or uncomfortable.

Frequently ‘oh shit’ moments involve all of these pieces.
