That storm continues to wreak havoc almost a year later.
That storm continues to weave pain and discomfort in my life.
It caused the haystack of blow overs that bonked me out on the last 100k ride.
During the storm it knocked out my internet.
I missed the online hockey draft with a group of men I have been proud to have known online for over twenty years. We’ve grown beyond merely talking about hockey. We came for the hockey and stayed because well… We’ve been through a lot together. It seems as though we like each other’s company. They’re a bunch of pylons.

Words spoken around hockey rinks everywhere. Hockey boards and gossip sites were ablaze with the news: the father of #99, the great one, Mr. Walter Gretzky had died.
This wasn’t news that gutted me. And remarkable. Walter and his son had touched my life greatly as a small child. I have always admired Wayne’s generosity and creativity on the ice.
