on making the unwanted, wanted
manure manure
What are you willing to do, dear reader?
What will you endure to get what you want?
My son?
He needs to put up with a lot of horse shit in order to go play soccer in Spain.
Let me explain…
We’re having a fundraiser to get him there.
And this fundraiser?
It’s not a silent auction, nor 50/50 draw.
We’re selling composted manure by the bag - 10 dollars per feed bag - delivered in the Halifax area.
And in merely two days of sales, we’ve topped a thousand dollars.
That’s right dear reader - over a hundred bags of horse shit gone in two days.
The poop is a problem for the barn.
City people typically buy manure for more than three times that cost from the grocery store to amend their soil each year.
That’s expensive.
So we move shit and earn a thousand dollars with merely a day and a half of work.
The barn loses poop and the flowers in town look brilliant because of our efforts.
We’re taking something unwanted and doing the dirty work to make it wanted again.
That’ a great way forward for anyone though.
Find the job or the thing that is unwanted and make it your business.
Not man sewage sucking companies ever fold.
Trash collection is always big business.
And if you want your son to go train in Spain?
Get him shovelling horse shit.
It’s great training for life.
And?
If you are a gardener in the greater Dartmouth area, send me a message and you too can order some poo.
Remember, the sweeter the turds, the taller the poppies.
And if you’re up to your hips in life’s horse shit?
Pick up a shovel. Find a way to package it, sell it and help someone grow something beautiful.
Keep growing, you fools!
