Things have been piling up dear reader.

With a heavy schedule at work, all of the little things that I seem to chip away at from one day to the next have fallen by the wayside.

It’s time to get ready for winter.

I was down at the lake today and all I had the energy to do was visit with people.

I thought about the piles of logs I have back in the woods. They’re well cured and ready to burn.

But they’re a fair bit back.

That’s when I saw the other log pile.

I’ve been so busy lately that I forgot about a pile of wood that I pulled out last winter.

It’s lying there in lengths and ready to be cut and split for the winter.

I’m more ready than I thought.

And you are too.

There’s wood lying around all over the place - gifts from your past ready to help you in the here and now.

Get to it.

Chop chip you fools.
