I like to complain. A lot.

It’s not so much that I seek out things to complain about.

And?

When I’m experiencing an 'oh shit’ moment, making a game out of complaining is a lot of fun.

When I was cleaning the chainsaw bar oil, slushy water, beach grit, bark and scraps of surfboard wax from the spare tire compartment of my car all I could do was complain.

This is awful.

My hands are so cold they hurt.

Everything about this is gross!

I whined, muttered and bellyached the whole time.

I made a great game of coming up with new ways to complain about how terrible the task was that I faced and how much I hated doing it.

I contorted my face in strange and amusing ways.

In doing so?

I made myself laugh at just how pathetic I was.
