I love my parents.

They’re funny people.

When I call it goes the same way pretty much every time.

Hi Dad.

Hi Jimmy, good to hear… What’s that dear?

Muffled noise from the background.

What? Your mother wants to know…

Then? My dad plays the role of the telephone wires and transmits a conversation between me and my mom. Sometimes he hands the phone over when things are more detailed and complex. Most of them time though, it’s a quick question then we talk.

Pretty cute eh?

In a world where we need to ‘expect the unexpected’ it’s really comforting to expect the expected and have our expectation met.

Love the people who love you.

Especially when they’re there to answer the phone.
