Have you ever caulked a bathtub?

These ‘finishing up’ tasks are ones that I frequently botch because I frequently rush.

Wouldn’t it be great to have an extra day, week or month? Generally things these days it’s easy to feel rushed. One event flows into the next without much time for a second thought. Projects push up against one deadline after another. It can feel like you’re working on the assembly line with Lucy.

I recently had a renovation project get extended by a month. My intended occupant? She’s miles away from ready. This is a good thing as the space is in a similar state. Finishing anything has its issues. A renovation is no different. There’s always that ‘last thing’, left to the last minute. There’s always a job that gets rushed.

Silicone caulking in bathrooms and kitchens is something I regularly forget. Forget? It’s more of a ‘delay, put off, avoid’ reaction. Working with silicone caulking is difficult. What’s the issue?
