No Expiry
The plate said it all.
The tractor would outlast us all. It was immortal.
You can count on my grandad’s old tractor in a lot of ways.
You can count on it to be able to go through some really rough and soft ground with its huge tires.
You can count on it to pull a pretty darn big log out of the woods.
You can count on it being temperamental.
You can count on needing to to find or manufacture parts when things break. Some parts you can buy, but you can count on this old tractor being really inconvenient and difficult to fix making it frustrating at times.
We can count on a lot of things in our lives.
Some will be wonderful things to depend on.
Other things we can count on might just stink.
Given that the hay goes into a horse smelling a lot nicer that when t comes out, it seems odd to me that we’re surprised by the poo.
Count on the tractor working well.
Count on the hay smelling sweet.
And count on life to be difficult to deal with and smelling of dung.
Should it be otherwise?
