negotiations with the void

this is unreasonable

If you try to be reasonable and the universe responds unreasonably. Don’t be surprised. Much of what we encounter will seem quite reasonable.

And?

If you act in ways that are not reasonable don’t be surprised when the universe responds with cold, vicious reason.

It is unreasonable after all to anticipate that you’ll fall up.

The path to navigating life’s surprises seems to involve being just irrational enough that the universe shows off just enough of its reason for life to make enough sense.

Sound reasonable?
