In any creative endeavor, there is a tension between the risks of leaping to make change happen and our instincts for self preservation.

Impulsivity and reactivity can be part of the messy flow state that the creative process requires.

And?

Impulsivity can be messy.

Impulsivity leads to falls of failure.

If you’re reading this and can walk, know this - it took you whole life up until the moment you were successful at walking to learn to do it.

Along the way?

You frequently fell.

If we stopped every time we got hurt from our falls and failings, we would never get anywhere.

How do you balance the resistance of self preservation with the need to move forward?
