I am living a childhood fantasy

No. I’m not training to be an astronaut.

Nor am I a police officer, professional BMX rider or NHL player.

I am however wealthy beyond my earliest dreams.

How?

I’m a man with multiple bikes.

I have different bicycles for different situations.

I have a suspension bike for the rough stuff, a hard tail for touring and a bicycle that’s not a bicycle because, this bicycle is missing a wheel, handlebars and all the rest of that sort of stuff.

It’s a unicycle that has aspirations to grow up to be a bicycle some day.

I know that might seem absurd, but that unicycle has it’s heart set on one day becoming a bike.

My favorite ride is Pepe.

Pepe was built by Marc.

When Pepe was new, back in 1984, Pepe had three sprockets on the front and seven on the rear for a total of twenty one gear combinations.

That’s a lot of complicated work to try to figure out.

Contrast that with my most capable bike today. It has one sprocket up front and eleven on the rear. It’s much more simple.
