Have you been enduring smoke from fires? We had some for a while. For the past few weeks it’s rained about as often as it hasn’t. Nights have been cool. Days have been grey. Nova Scotia remains true to form.
Oh yes, the arid days of Nova Scotia’s spring are giving way to a damp cool beginning of summer. Everything is moist.
Summer is soon. Like right now. If not today. It’s likely tomorrow. Unless of course you didn’t open this message for like a month then read it.
Summer is an odd thing. There title ‘unofficial start’ to summer lands on different days for many.
For some, it’s the first day with bare arms and legs. For others, it’s the May 24 weekend.
For others still, summer begins when school ends.
I like this definition of summer.
Spring is the time to launch, to leap, to plant.
Spring is a time of effort. It’s the time to wake up and get things moving after the slow down of winter.
Summer?
It’s the time to switch into glide.
