I’ll admit, I was being irrational. We both were. The consequences of our actions are likely far reaching beyond the two of us. Only time will tell. Either way, I wiped some sweat from my forehead and went about my day.
These days, any rational person with the internet would consider us fools. YOU’RE CRAZY, they’d exclaim aloud. Given all of the evidence you see, you’re doing that? Don’t you think it’s irresponsible all things considered?
You’ll find voices of doubt and pessimism everywhere. It’s not surprising when you consider the state of the world. Turn on the internet and some lunatic will tell you that the earth is burning, wars are raging and that the end of humanity is near.
People have been predicting the end of humanity for as long as there have been people.
They’ve been wrong so far.
Luckily, the merchants of shame and pain haven’t such down the human spirit.
For as long as there have been people there has also been hope.
