I know a man who climbs mountains.
Funny enough, his name is Billy.
Billy’s a bit of a goat.
He’s climbed K2, Kilimanjaro, Mt. McKinley, Kangchenjunga and others.
The effort required to reach such great heights is idiotic. The view fine, but it’s hardly worth it considering the effort it took.
He’s more than a little proud of his accomplishments though.
These days, I have no desire to climb any higher. Now I let the mountains come to me. Now I surf. I paddle out and wait for a wave. Once the peak arrives, I take off from the top.
Taking off from the top sound a lot better than starting from the bottom.
Where are you on your climb? Are you still struggling on the face or have you been hunkered down in base camp.
Have you hit your peak yet?
If once there, the results weren’t all what you imagined, it might be time to stop working so hard.
Once you’ve reached the peak, there’s nowhere to go but down. Stop climbing mountains. Be like Billy. Go surfing instead.
