Sometimes it's better to merely shut up, walk away, take some time to get clear then return to the process fresh.
This holds true with writing.
This holds true with creative tasks.
This is especially true when we're relating with each other.
If you ever find yourself in a conflict with someone close to you, remember that when things feel urgent, you have the ability to walk away. Take responsibility. Take a break.
