Do you ever wonder how people pull it off? Things that seem impossible are routinely done every day. People make change. People change lives. People do things that are highly unlikely.

One such person is the owner of the barn where my daughter rides - Isabelle1. I think of it as the punk rock barn.

Given the patrician nature of equestrian sports, having a horse barn and being punk rock don’t seem to match.

Typically they don’t. But at Isabelle’s barn, Osprey Rest? It makes sense.

It’s a little like Isabelle - it’s a bit scrappy, a bit messy, quite determined and full of talent. It’s also a barn full of working people - blue collar and middle class folks. The people there don’t have a lot of the intergenerational wealth typically found in horse world

But at Osprey Rest? The horses are not the 100k horses. Isabelle prides herself on finding great horses that need love from horse rescue organizations. She gets them cheap and invests a lot of love into them.
