Failure and defeat are not the same but they sometimes smell the same.

They have a similar arc, they have a familiar sound.

In both, we can feel lost in the shadows of our souls.

Defeat can be more fun than failure.

Defeat when it takes place in battle regularly results in death.

So, if you’ve been defeated and you’re alive?

Congratulations! It was only a game.

Defeat in a game?

You and most of those you’ve been playing with and against are likely still alive.

So, defeat?

Though a bit agonizing, doesn’t need to have lasting impacts on your life.

The shadows of de feet are cast close to the ground.

They are likely very small shadows. Even big feet make small shadows.

So, if you struggle with failure, perhaps you might want to embrace defeat.

And if you embrace de feet?
