Let’s get to the point here. Remember a time just before you learned something big. Imagine a time just before everything changed and you knew then and there it would never change back to how it used to be.

As you do this, notice the feeling in your guts and your arse.

Know this, that feeling just as you realize that you are about to learn something about yourself and the world.

This feeling, this moment, this ah-ha moment happens in an instant. From now on, you can look at yourself the same way.

I love that feeling.

That’s the feeling you have just before life takes a giant banana cream pie and hits you square in the face. What’s more, as you wipe the pie from your eyes to go sit down on the sidelines of life, you notice just a moment too late that your chair is rigged with a massive booby trap designed to alienate you from polite society.

Resigned and perhaps gleefully so, you brace yourself for the attention that comes from emitting a real bronx cheer in church.
