At the end of the road that leads to the best part of the best part of the world

There are two silver metal boat houses.

The boat house by the old homestead was where the Olands kept their boat in the summer.

The boat house a the very end of the road by the beach in the campground?

That’s where they stored their boat in the winter.

Both are nearly old enough to get a letter from the king.

A hundred years is a goodly time for a boathouse to live!

(as i imagine big ears signing the letter, i chuckle at the thought - he’d indeed love to send a letter to a boat house)

The beach boat house is filled with life. It’s become the rec hall for the campground.

By day, it houses children playing, eating and making crafts.

On Saturday night, it’s a place to save a horse and ride a cowboy or for a little fishin’ in the dark.

The boat house by the homestead is different.

It’s over the lake providing a drive in home for watercraft.

It’s filled with life.
