Stopping myself is very difficult.
It actually hurts. I feel physical pain in my body when I have an opportunity to make a wise crack and I have to leave it alone.
Perhaps this is one of social media’s biggest drawbacks - I’m terrible at it!
An example: There was a post regarding golf which read: I can’t think of a better way to disconnect from reality for a few hours.
My crack?
You really outta try LSD.
Instead of posting, I scrolled on.
The filter worked.
It does that sometimes.
BUT.
Each time I open social media, it’s a bit of a gamble.
Given my perceived ‘risk’ of what’s at stake, I shy away from devices. That’s a problem when I go to promote something like the upcoming bike tour that’s happening.
To avoid this, I’m meeting with humans face to face.
In addition to this, it’s important to remember that anything I add to the body of knowledge on the internet is akin to pissing in the ocean.
So,
If you’ve embarrassed yourself on social media, wait a few days. After that?
