after forty six days of rain
where to put the water?
The first rains were lovely - welcome really considering how dry things were.
They were underwhelming at first. We needed more rain.
Over the last sixty days it has rained forty six.
We’ve had two weeks off over last little bit.
Though things started slowly at first, they continued to build.
This past weekend saw torrential rains and flooding.
The rain fell heavily on Friday.
By Saturday evening, things had calmed.
But on Sunday?
The water in the rivers and streams was still rising.
The lakes, filling.
And the groundwater was pushing into basements everywhere.
Creative projects go this way. They start slowly, build to a torrent then flood the world, continuing to build and lasting long after the rain has stopped.
Sunny, blue skies are everywhere.
Go make it rain.
