Sometimes it smells like regret, but it usually smells like shared joy and holding hands.
Just woke up at the cottage. Our adult children are living at home, so this is truly our get-a-way. It feels like a really nice tree house. I always liked the ones with curtains.
But work calls and we are leaving in just a couple hours. Earlier than usual as hubby has to drive for tomorrow's work.
I'm not feeling well these days and I sometimes wonder what plans the reaper has.
There's a well-known comic about the grim reaper passing on an older lady he was about to collect at Halloween because she handed out full-sized chocolate bars.
I think about that.
I have always been kind, but I have embraced generosity even more as I age. I am hoping the reaper and his advisors think I am adding to this place enough to pass me by for a few more decades.
I'm gently working on feeling better so I can milk the best out of whatever time I have.
Working working working… Your cottage sounds so much like a treehouse. What a great escape. I’m sad to hear that you don’t feel well these days. I’m finding that I’m tired more and more and though I sleep I wake feeling less rested. Tick tock goes the clock I guess. I pass by the DeGarthe carving a lot at work. It was a 10 project there at Peggy’s Cove. He was alive to do seven years of it. The part I love the most is the area on the far right hand side as you look at it. The faces and the carvings are poorly defined. Sure he began that section but ran out of time before he had a chance to complete it. It’s my favorite part.
Always nice to read you my friend! Take care.
Hi Jim
The time thing is in the air it seems.

So much to do.
But time will tell what gets done.
