Growing up when I did, there were some different things about making change that could still resonate today.
Growing up, there was no remote.
When we wanted something different, we at least had to get up, walk to the Tee Vee and switch the channel
Growing up, there wasn’t even cable.
How we received things had to be adjusted. The picture wasn’t instantly ‘clear’. There was a dial to fine tune the channel.
When that didn’t work, you’d have to adjust the antenna - or old coat hanger, whatever happened to be there. Changing the direction of the antenna really helped.
The most primary adjustment though was to have a really big antenna.
Change is more complex than an email.
You need to get up and move to make it happen.
You’ll need to adjust things you didn’t realize along the way.
And with a big enough antenna, you’ll be receptive to even the most distant signals.
So, go, make change.
Watch Tee Vee.
